The Miami for-sale inventory of single family homes, condos, townhomes and co-ops remained at historic lows, with 10,779 units for sale in September 2012, down -20.89% compared to a year ago.
The median list price in September was $279,000, 11.6% higher than a year ago. The median age of inventory was down -22.10% compared to one year ago.
Lower inventories, combined with somewhat higher median list prices, suggest that the housing market ending the 2012 home-buying season is in better shape than it was a year ago.

Our own Wynwood Art District in Miami was nominated the 6th most stylish neighborhood in the world.
Any thoughts?
Part of Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood, the arts district is home to over 70 galleries, museums and art collections. It was founded in 2003, and every second Saturday, the community hosts an Art Walk, where showrooms open their doors for the public’s enjoyment. There are private art collections such as the Rubell Family Collection and World Class Boxing, or the Fredric Snitzer Gallery to see the work of elite local artists. The fashion district spans five blocks and though it’s been around for over two decades, it has been rejuvenated by merchants who aimed to make the area as similar to New York and Los Angeles as possible. Wynwood also has the Wynwood Walls, one of the largest outdoor murals exhibits in the world.

If you’re not familiar with Miami’s “Golden Era”, this film captures it brilliantly. Set in Clearwater, Florida (but shot in Miami) this film shows a golden-aged Miami, a city of dilapidated buildings and storefronts full of old people. It was the playground of retirees and eventually became God’s waiting room.

Worth watching.
